Ciao Bellas

Hello friends!! This post finds me in better spirits then the last one did. First of all, Chelsie I am so happy that you are lovin' the married life!! Your honeymoon sounds like it was amazing! I'm so sorry that it got off to a rough start, but it all seems like it worked out excellently in the end. And plus, would it really be a typical trip for any of us girls if something didn't go horribly wrong with the transportation side of our travels? But anyway, Dominican Republic, sweet! That's where my firends Jess and Mikey went for theirs in June and they said it was just so amazing. So yay! so so happy for you and Brian.

Whitney, t-5 days!!! AHHHH yay how amazing! I so wish I was going to be there, but I'm saying Congratulations now to you and Michael, I love you and I am so incredibly happy for you both. It is going to be an amazing wedding, and even more amazing marriage. I won't have phone/email access after Friday so just wanted you to know that I will be thinking about you.

So things with the apartment have turned out well. We got the place, just trying to wrap up all the paperwork. I had no idea that getting an apartment was such a process. I am just ready to move in and be done, we've had so many issues with the whole thing, our broker sucks ass, seriously I have never disliked anyone so much in all of my life. But we move in August 1, which is a problem because I am obviously not here, but I'm working it out, and the bottom line is that I have the apartment so that's the most important thing.

I am doing the Avon Walk for breast cancer in October, so I've finally started getting my shit together to start fundraising. It's a really big undertaking and a little overwhelming to think about raising all this money, but I am really excited about it, too. I think it will be an amazing experience and I'm thrilled to be doing something for such a great cause.

I went to DC last weekend to see one of my best friends, Jula, from high school and college. 2 of my other hs friends live there as well, and we had such a great weekend hanging out. So nice to be around close friends. Jula came up to NYC this weekend too, and she Jenny my sister and I had a great time hanging out, going out, so that was wonderful. I am so so excited about my trip can't believe that I leave Friday?!?!! Can't wait for some family time and to go back to Europe, I miss it terribly. I've talked with some of my friends for London and I'm going up for a day/night to see them so I'm stoked about that.

So that's about it for me. I have to pack now because I have a crazy week ahead, going to see Bon Jovi on Tuesday night, woohoo! I am psychotically obsessed with them, in case you guys didn't know that. You all take care of yourselves and have a great time this weekend all together. I'll miss you all so much, like I always do, and know that I would be there in a heartbeat if I could, but I will definitely be there in spirit. Love you girls so much. You are all such an inspiration to me.

married and lovin it

HELLO GIRLS!! this is my first entry as chelsie pottorf!! yikes!! oh my gosh..i seriously love being married. after over a year of doing the long distance thing with brian we finally just get to be together and enjoy each other....it's so wonderful! i had tons of fun at the wedding...hopefully everyone else did too. tara, sarah, and G - definitely wish you could have been there but thanks for your thoughts and prayers! and oh my gosh - tara and G - i'll get to see you in like one freaking week!! i'm sooooooo excited!!! it's been so long! YAY!!! sarah - i wish more than anything you could be there too but it just means i need to get my butt out to NY sooner. okay - so here's a little honeymoon story for you all. brian and i went ot the Dominican Republic and it was awesome. but getting there was kind of a disaster. so okay - our flight left sunday morning at 8:45. we didnt' get back to our room from the reception on sat. night until like 12:30. and since it was an international flight we had to be there at like the buttcrack of dawn. so we were sooo tired when we get our wake up call on sun. at like 5 a.m. so we're packing up and i call down to the valet service so they can bring my car up front by the time we get down there. so i give them the number that was on my valet ticket and they're like "ummm....yeah, we don't have that number in our system. it's not valid." i was like, "excuse me...this is the number YOU gave me. i dont have another ticket. this is the one. and i need my car." and so they like kept checking and they're just like "nope...we don't have it." so after a while on the phone of telling them what kind of car i have they're like "well...you just need to come down here." okay so now we're like running a little behind schedule and i still don't have my car to get to the airport. so we get all our crap and go down to the valet office and they like seriously can't find my keys and don't know where my car is. i was sooo pissed! GIVE ME MY FREAKING CAR I HAVE A PLANE TO CATCH HERE PEOPLE! so i had to fill out an entire form with my license information and all this crap. and then finally they just start digging through the whole drawer of keys and i see my keys from behind the counter and i'm like "those are my keys! go get my car!" so they pulled out the keys and the tag on them had like a completely different number than the ticket they gave me and they had my car registered as being like a red chevy when in fact my car is a gray range rover...seriously they couldn't have been more wrong. what the heck! so they finally verify everything and go get my car for me. and by now we're running sooo late. so we get the car and drive to the airport and to make this long story somewhat shorter we ended up missing our check in time by 4 MINUTES!! 4 FREAING MINUTES AND THAT DUMB UNITED WORKER WOULDN'T LET US CHECK OUR BAGS IN! i was soooo upset. so the guy was like "let me see what i can do for you." yeah you do that mr. so after like staring at his computer for honestly ten minutes he's like "well...the best i can do is get you out on thursday." THURSDAY! ummm...okay...that's a slight problem considering by the time we got there we would have like two days left of our already paid for resort. just great. so when he told us this i seriously just broke down in the airport. i started crying and everyone was staring and i thought i wasn't going to get a honeymoon at all. it was terrible. brian felt sooo bad. he was probably secretly embarassed of me but he told me it was allright if i cried in front of everyone at the airport. which i did. so....to wrap things up.....we found a flight on a different airlines that left the next morning. so we gave in and bought another one way flight down and left the next morning and stayed in a hotel right by the airport that night. it was such a fiasco. but we made it to the DR!!! and we had a blast hanging out on the beach and drinking strawberry daquiries all day long! so it ended up being worth it but seriously what a disaster. that would only happen to me! (or maybe whitney - but let's hope not whit!) so yeah..anyways...the honeymoon was great. being married is great. and living in winnebago isn't all that bad either...i'm actually liking it where we live...on a little lake with a little beach and a golf course. it's quite nice actually. maybe you should all come visit me! :) tara - how did the missions trip go? that sounds awesome - i want to hear all about it! sarah - i'm so sorry it's been so stressful trying to find an apartment. how is that going? i know it will all work out in teh end too. G - you're crrrazy! whit - 9 days till your married!!!!! sweeeeet! i'm so excited for that. I LOVE YOU ALL SO MUCH! talk to ya soon
